Give the gift of pocket-sized art with wallets by Claudia Calle. Inspired by the award-winning artist’s works which fuse photography and collage, images of Chinese culture have been used to fashion a series of limited edition wallets.

In 2010, Calle was awarded first prize for her “People’s Republic of China” collection by the International Photography Awards. This series of stylistic black and white photos enhanced by pops of red bring color and drama to her imagery, while giving meaning and depth to the featured subjects.

The woman’s leatherette cash companion is available in seven different models featuring three separate sections for bills, coins and cards; whereas the men’s version is available in different models with two folds for bills and cards.

The Colombian artist Claudia Calle, who lives in Miami, was recently awarded with the first place in the International Photography Award (IPA). Calle’s Republic of China series was selected by International Photo Awards among 15,000 submissions spanning 103 countries. The pieces, which fuse photography with collage and acrylic on wood, were further hand-picked by curator Adriana Teresa to appear in the IPA.
